From the Principal's Desk
Dear Theuerkauf Families,
I would like to thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we make changes to help limit the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). At this time, school events (such as assemblies, large group parent meetings, after school clubs, parent volunteer supported activities including Living Classroom, STEAM Club, etc.) have been cancelled or postponed in the abundance of caution for our students and our staff. This cancellation/postponement will be evaluated over Spring Break.
Our top priority is keeping our students safe. If you have a sick child, please keep them home and call our school office to inform us of the reason for the absence. Be as detailed as possible with your description of symptoms when you report the absence. If any parent or other family member is diagnosed with a positive Coronavirus, please let me know immediately and do not come to the school or bring your child to school.
In the midst of these unprecedented times, we are trying to provide our students with a calm and consistent learning environment. Our goal is to keep our community informed with the most recent actions and Coronavirus update. We realize that there is a high volume of information about COVID-19 and that information is often reported on social media or news media before we have been provided official guidance from the Department of Public Health. Please continue to read communication from our school district office. The District’s Coronavirus information and communications are found at https://www.mvwsd.org/coronavirus.
We appreciate your patience as we work together as a district to make the best possible decisions for students and staff. We thank you for your understanding as we work together to protect students, families, and staff.
In appreciation,
Ms. Swati Dagar
Principal - Theuerkauf Elementary

Make sure you’re counted! The U.S. Census is coming up
It’s crucial that we all participate, because an accurate count of residents is important for funding our community’s public resources, planning for the future, and for our voice in government. We all want to make sure that Mountain View gets the funding, services, and business support we need.
Here's how the Census works (video)
Responses are confidential and by law, your personal information cannot be shared. You can respond to the U.S. Census online or by mail. Look for your postcard this week. To learn more, visit 2020census.gov.
