When students miss too much school— regardless of the reason – it can cause them to fall behind academically.  Your child is less likely to succeed if he or she is chronically absent. Children chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade are much less likely to read at grade level by the end of 3rd grade. By 6th grade, chronic absence is a proven early warning sign for students at risk for dropping out of school.  For more information, click here.

CSMA Art Club

Fall Semester after-school art club at Theuerkauf Elementary School

Join us for a 12 weeks fall art club session where we will experience a world of Artists.

Students will paint, draw and sculpt with support and instruction from CSMA faculty. Lessons are inspired by techniques and styles of contemporary artists around the world. Teachers develop a new curriculum with each new session.

Art Class is every Thursday, September 20, 2018- December 20, 2018 from 12:50-1:50pm

Hello! I'm Summer Marshall, your PTA Vice President. Theuerkauf means the world to me, and I hope it means the world to you! Please become a PTA member so you can help us provide fun activities, cool gear, and community-building events like this Saturday's Game Night! We'll pack the Theuerkauf Library full of board games, building toys, snacks, crafts, and fun--all you need to bring are yourselves! And it's FREE! Please join us from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM. See you there!

Our Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) art classes are starting on September 20th at our school. We will continue the CSMA Music class as well. The CSMA art and music programs, consist of in-depth, skill-building and sequential lessons that meet the California State Visual and Performing Arts Standards for Art. This program is paid for by the Mountain View Educational Foundation which, thanks to donations from parents like you, brings art, music, 4th and 5th-grade environmental field trips, Living Classroom, and more to our school. Your donations to this organization pay for these incredible art and music teachers every week. Learn more and donate at
