Hello, Theuerkauf Families!

Staff Appreciation Week began this week. We are very fortunate to have wonderful teachers and staff that make Theuerkauf a great place for our students. Our staff has been working tirelessly this year to support our students and help them progress this school year. Please join me in giving a huge thank you to our staff. If you haven’t already, I’m sure our staff would greatly appreciate a brief email or note of encouragement, support, or thanks!

May marks Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, which celebrates the histories of Americans hailing from across the Asian continent and from the Pacific islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. This month, our teachers will be emphasizing the diversity and richness of AAPI identity and culture. Additionally, Ms. B., our librarian, will be sharing books about various influential AAPI individuals and their contributions. Additionally, students can use Clever through their Chromebooks to access the AAPI Picture Book Collection.

2022-2023 School Year

We are continuing to plan our classes for next year. If you are not returning to Theuerkauf for the 2022-2023 school year, please let us know by calling 650-903-6925 ext. 0 or email Mrs. Tellez at [email protected].

As always, thank you for your partnership! Together, we make a difference.

Yours in service,

Michelle Williams, Principal

Wonderful Artists Are Among Us!

Have you noticed all of the beautiful artwork posted in the windows next to our library? These are the drawings that students completed to show their Cheetah spirit for our yearbook cover contest. Though there could only be one winner, ALL of the contributions were phenomenal, and it was great to see how our Cheetahs express their school spirit. Way to go, everyone!

Traffic Safety Committee

If you would like to discuss ways to better protect our students and encourage safety on the roads surrounding our school, please respond to this email with your name, child's name, and your preferred time of day to meet. We are still recruiting interested parties.

Reminder: Please upload your child’s completed vaccine card

When your child's vaccine card has their second shot listed, please upload a copy to Powerschool. Vaccine cards will be referred to in the case of a positive COVID exposure for your student, and MVWSD needs accurate data for decisions about COVID protocols. Click here for a video that shows you how to upload documents: https://vimeo.com/606954357. Thank you in advance for uploading your documents now!

Reminder: Principal’s Virtual Office Hours

This is just a friendly reminder that you are invited to join me each Wednesday for our informal Principal Office Hours (virtual through Zoom) from 4pm - 5:00pm. Feel free to drop in if you have any questions or if you just want to chat. For office hours, there is no formal agenda, it is a time for you to stop in to say hello, and for us to get to know each other better! I look forward to seeing you!

Thank you for all the support during "Staff Appreciation Week"

We truly appreciate all the donations, food and snack items as well as you reminding the kids to give air high fives and let all the staff know that they are appreciated and loved. Thank you!

Our PTA Board for 2022-23 is almost formed, but we continue to look for a Treasurer!

Our treasurer would love to continue, but State PTA rules allow that role to be held for only 2 years. She will of course do a handover and teach you the software, which she says is very easy and straightforward. Please see attached picture for more information.

Please email [email protected] if you are interested in taking on this role.
