Principal's Message |
Dear Cheetah Community,
Tune in to the Theuerkauf Showcase @ Thursday’s Board Meeting at 6:00pm
It is Theuerkauf’s month to shine! Different students from all grades will be showcasing something they have learned in our new Amplify, Science of Reading, curriculum. As mentioned before, our reading scores have improved from this time last year and I am so excited for the students to present. The learning I have seen on campus and the engagement from the students is inspiring. Students are overjoyed to tell me about the knowledge, vocabulary, phonics, and share their comprehension of these engaging lessons with me when I walk in the room. We are truly creating a love for learning. Also at the showcase a couple of students will be presenting about our new Zen Den/Wellness Center that has opened thanks to our new school counselor, Leigh Wilson, and our librarian, Heidi Baikie! They have teamed up to create an inviting space during recess time for students who flourish with rejuvenation through art, puzzles, reading, building, etc. Our staff is truly the best and I can’t wait for you and the Board of Education members to see how amazing our Theuerkauf Cheetahs are! Goooo Cheetahs! If you are part of the presentation, please remember to show up at the District office at 5:30pm for a prompt start time of 6:00pm and wear cheetah gear or our colors!
Spirit Week Continues! - Monday, Dec. 16- Dec. 20th
Remember to wear our cheetah colors (blue & yellow), walkathon shirt, or any other cheetah gear tomorrow!
Happy Break! See you next year!
From the bottom of my heart, I wish you a wonderful break taking in all the special moments. There are many challenges in life, but remember to sprinkle kindness wherever you go! Make sure to take a deep breath and cherish the smiles, laughs, and hugs. Our staff will miss your child dearly and be ready to welcome them back next year! I am also already looking forward to soaking in as much time with the students for one week in January before I leave to expand my own family. Happy Holidays!
Warm regards,
Principal Danielle Lyons

Important Notice RE: Items dropped off during school hours.
One of our core values at Theuerkauf is Responsibility. There has been a large increase in items forgotten and dropped off items during the day. Sometimes it is challenging to get items to students in a timely manner and we want to minimize interruptions of lessons during class time so all students can stay focused on their education.
Please support your child at home by going through a quick checklist before leaving: Warm jacket, hat or gloves if needed, lunch box, backpack, instrument, homework, etc.
Thank you for supporting our core value of Responsibility and minimizing classroom interruptions.
If you do need to drop off a forgotten item please label it with the following so there is no confusion or mix ups. Please note that the office staff will do their best to get it to the students in a timely manner:
-
Student name
-
