 Principal's Message

Dear Cheetah Community,

I am thrilled to share what a joyful and meaningful experience our recent school assembly with Alphabet Rockers was for our students. The energy, excitement, and engagement across both campuses were incredible—and most importantly, our students absolutely loved it!

Through singing, beatboxing, dancing, and storytelling, Alphabet Rockers brought their powerful message to life:
“Be Curious. Be You. Belong. Build a bridge to build community.”
Students were actively engaged as they explored themes of belonging, inclusion, and community in a way that was both fun and impactful.

One of the highlights of the experience is that the learning doesn’t stop with the assembly. Students are continuing to learn and sing some of the songs at school, reinforcing these important messages through music and movement. If you have a singer or dancer at home, we invite you to join in the fun and practice together!

Thank you to our families who volunteered and supported this special experience. Events like this help strengthen our shared commitment to creating schools where every child feels seen, valued, and connected.

STEAM Night - January 14th from 5-6:30 pm in the MUR

Join us for a fun and interactive STEAM Night for the whole family. Students of all ages are invited to explore hands-on learning stations, including slime, gliders, arts and crafts, and more. Families can move freely between stations and enjoy learning together. Pizza dinner will be provided. We hope you’ll join us for an evening of creativity, curiosity, and fun.

Hands On Bay Area Beautification Project - Saturday, Jan. 17 from 9-12pm

In collaboration with Hands On Bay Area, we have also been hard at work on exciting campus beautification projects that will benefit our students for years to come. Thanks to their efforts, approximately 80–100 Apple Inc. employees will volunteer their time to help create large-scale learning spaces on our blacktop, including a US map, a multiplication chart, and an ABC rainbow learning area—just to name a few. Volunteers will also be transforming our concrete half walls by painting them a beautiful blue and showcasing our school’s core values by stenciling those words on them (respect, responsibility, perseverance, integrity, courage). A huge thank-you to our custodians, Dennis and Sergio, for power washing the concrete in preparation for painting, and to Irma, our ARIS, and Joie, our PTA co-president, for helping to host and support the event. I am beyond grateful for every volunteer who contributed their time, energy, and heart. I cannot wait to see the extra-bright smiles on our students’ faces as they continue to learn, play, and grow at Theuerkauf because of others’ generosity. Go Cheetahs

In partnership,

Principal Danielle Lyons
