 Principal's Message

Dear Cheetah Community,

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Hands on Bay Area and everyone who helped make our recent campus beautification event such a tremendous success. We were fortunate to welcome the Apple Inc. employees who generously volunteered their time, energy, and talents to enhance our school environment.

This event was especially meaningful as it took place in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a time when we reflect on service, community, and working together to create a more just and joyful world. Dr. King believed deeply in the power of collective action, and this day truly embodied that message as volunteers came together in service of our students.

Because of their incredible efforts, our blacktop has been transformed into vibrant, large-scale learning spaces featuring world maps, multiplication charts, and an ABC rainbow learning area that our students will enjoy for years to come. Our once-gray concrete walls are now beautifully painted blue and proudly display our school’s core values—creating an inspiring and welcoming space for all.

A special thank-you goes to our custodians, Dennis and Sergio, for power washing and preparing the concrete, as well as to Irma, our ARIS, and Joie, our PTA co-president, for their support and help hosting the event. This work truly reflected the power of community partnership.

I am beyond grateful to every volunteer who showed up with a giving heart. I am already seeing the joy and excitement on our students’ faces as they learn, play, and grow in these newly enhanced spaces. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on Theuerkauf.

In partnership,

Principal Danielle Lyons

Let’s Kick Off the New Year Strong by Supporting MVEF!

Love seeing your children enjoy art, music, and hands-on science in our elementary schools—and smaller English class sizes, athletics, clubs, and other enriching opportunities in our middle schools?

These programs are made possible by the power of our community’s support.

MVWSD is home to one of the most socio-economically diverse student populations in the Bay Area. Donations to MVEF ensure that all students benefit from these essential programs, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

As we begin the second half of the school year, we invite you to make a tax-deductible donation to help sustain and strengthen these programs. Gifts of any amount make a meaningful impact and help MVEF enrich education for every MVWSD student.
