From the Principal's Desk

Dear Theuerkauf Families,

Feedback is important for systemic change and continual improvement. In the words of Mark Twain, “Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection”. Our school district is beginning its annual process of writing the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan). Your input from the survey will guide the development of our District’s three-year plan and inform the update of the District’s Strategic Plan. These documents are the blueprints that guide all of the District’s work for the benefit of our students.

The survey has been revised to include questions about school and District climate. I will be presenting the LCAP/Strategic Plan process on the following dates:

February 14, 2020 9:00 a.m at the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting

February 26, 2020  5:00 p.m at the School Site Council (SSC) meeting

At these meetings, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about this survey and/or give your input in person.

Parents, we want to hear from you!

Please click below to give input through February 28 in a survey. (Using a laptop/desktop computer or a tablet is recommended. Formatting may not be as readable on mobile devices). If you would like a paper copy, please come to our school front office and we will have a copy for you.

You are an invaluable part of our school and we appreciate your feedback.

Our school wide focus is on promoting academic language for all of our students. As we make instructional shifts at school, the Parent University presenter this upcoming Wednesday, February 12th, Dr. Kate Kinsella, will provide strategies for parents to support students' academic language and listening skills. We use many of Dr. Kinsella's strategies at school as a part of our academic language implementation. This is a workshop you don't want to miss! Details on the Parent University workshop are below:
